I do not know the manufacture year. This could be late 1920s or perhaps part of the 1950 Academy series. Please help.
1940's
I want to say 'GODDESS OF TIME'
Is the Dial round or oval shaped?
I see what you mean Mark. The advert we have certainly looks to show this watch as slightly oval in shape. Closest thing I can find though.
admin,
This ad Dated 1945 http://www.mybulova.com/sites/default/files/vintage_ads/bulova-ad-1945-1.jpg gives Us what appears to be a round version of the oblong Case, if You know what I mean.
: )
Under closer scrutiny perhaps not.
Gentlemen, I think that's the same watch.
If the Dial of the subject is Oval then it is a 'GODDESS OF TIME' as We know the Model was available in engraved and plain cased versions from the descriptive text of some ads.
If Round I would give the Watch a tentative ID as the same.

ads are Dated 1942 and 1945 respectively.
Not seeing a match with the subject's lugs or bezel detail in either of these.
Note the "wings" on the bezel, and the arrow point on the lug fixture, neither of these features can be seen on the two ad excerpts.

The Carolyn in this 1949 ad looks closer, but not quite there.

Unknown, I agree the top and bottom lugs are different.
This black dial Goddess of Time "C" is a case match though. 1947 ad.

Here is a better match. The Carolyn, 1948 ad.

Here is another GoT from 1948. Oval dial though, and appears to be the same as the one on the right.

Carolyn works for me.
Yes, I think I see Carolyn as well.
