Lovely vintage Speidel No. 58 GP band, this is either the Ben-Hur or the Calhoun.
Case back outside has "Bulova10K gold filled" at one end and the serial no. at the other end.
Very nice, clean dial and hands, very light wear to case back, case front hardly any wear to gold fill.
Case dimensions are 36mm X 26mm, lugs 13mm gape, both sides. Crystal roughly 27.5 X 17.5mm.
Photos by seller, Davethedrums, as I cannot get pics from my new camera to upload.

This is a tough one, the year might be the determining factor on this one Bob, the dials in the ads look slightly different...nice one!
Thanks Greg. I really don't care which ID you guys give it, it's a sweet little thing. Gonna need a new crystal though...
Calhoun. Subject watch has the more rectangle shape to the secs track and numbers are a match as well as hands.
PM me Bobbeee, I have crystals for this one.
Sweet but a tough call. Could be year or perhaps case dimentions. Bob, is your case all gold filled as described for the Ben Hur?
Yes, Shawn, 10K gold filled.
Case dimensions are 36mm X 26mm, lugs 13mm gape, both sides. Crystal roughly 27.5 X 17.5mm.
EDIT:- I have just put a brown croc strap on it, polished the case and it looks a million dollars, definite keeper.
Not knowing the date of the ad above, I am inclined to cast for the Ben Hur for which we have a 1939 ad.
In reply to Not knowing the date of the by Geoff Baker
The large ad in root record is dated Dec 15, 1938.
EDIT 2012.11.16 Large ad is for Calhoun.
In reply to The large ad in root record by William Smith
The smaller ad in root record (for unengraved Ben Hur) is also 1938.
I'm thinking Calhoun, as the lugs appear slightly sculpted.
Well, JP sent me two crystals and they came today, a GS flexo acrylic MT361-45, for the "Bulova Calhoun", and a Federal Glass for the Calhoun, both 26.6 X 17.2 and both fit perfectly with no adjustment required.
Thanks John, very much appreciated.
