Naw... I just like the old look of this model Greg...

Another nice one, Greg!
And hey Jerin... wasn't you grand dad's "Banker" a late 30s? (Like 1936- 38?) I thought I had more info. on this model... However I only see the "before" pic of the one I sent Marlin a year ago... to be restored?! Guess you're out of state still, however???
Herafter's the one I had in early 2010, as original (What was LEFT of it!) for a "Top View!"
Sorry about the "low res." I bought this (otherwise!) nice 1938 color ad on iOffer.com, only to find that the seller had (reduced?) it to a POSTCARD sized ad... :-(

Best :-) Scott
Naw... we figured out it wasn't a Banker.... but rather a 1940 Ranger! The etching on the sides of the bezel and the original gold plated bracelet witht he leather insert nailed it!
In reply to Naw... we figured out it by plainsmen
Really???
Well a "Ranger" is GOOD, too!
And that's like (4) now I was mistaken on... with no ads!? (Down to like -95% now, AAARRRGGG!!!)
:-) Scott
Scott,
This one took a Permatex 259MA2/152 crystal for your database

Thanks, Greg!
You're up rather late!? Is that then a 25.9mm x 15.2mm? (I don't have any "Permatex crystals or catalogs, myself...)
I show the following for the 38+ Banker, in the 1939 G-S "Flexo" Catalog:
MODEL
BB
PF
1938+ Banker
MX2675 156
MC266/1 156

I haven't figured out their cataloging system yet, not as simple as BB's and I don't have any Permatex catalogs yet, just an assortment and this one fit like a glove. Its 26.3mm x 15.2mm and curved on the long measurment only. Who knows, it may be intended for something else but it works with this one.
I just recently accuired a watch like this one with an * on the movement. It has the bottom of the 6 just peeking out below the seconds box and is identical to your watch pistured here. I don't have my camer set up yrt to take pics but will try to next week. The case serial number is 327918. From bottom to top it measures33.29 mm not including the lugs and 25.11 mm end to end on first step 12.57 mm on second step 10K gold filled case and stainless back. Is it possible that this model would have the * on the movement and what year would that make it??
