It is always exciting to see a new watch for the database!  I believe your watch is the Marcelle or the Miss Toronto.  We see in this time period that sometimes the Canadian market got a different name to the American and it seems to be the case with this watch.  Where did you purchase the watch?  I think that is the only real guide we will have to go by.  In either case it will be a first for the database.

Oooo I didn't realize it had a US name too! (probably should have had though).  This was purchased from a reseller based in Florida, so sadly I have zero provenance on it, and neither did they. I'm just glad it isn't going to end up in a landfill somewhere.

Yes I am so glad you saved her!!  Since it was purchased in Florida I will go with Marcelle just because we have to pick one and that is the only thing we really have to go by.

1939 Bulova Marcelle is a good match noting the Canadian name is Miss Toronto.

Hmm, I live in Florida and MANY of my neighbors spend the summer in Canada (yes, they're real Canadians). Is it possible that it CAME FROM CANADA to Florida? Yeah I know that's a stretch.  1939 Bulova Marcelle (from Toronto by way of Winnipeg)
