This looks like an American Eagle, but has engraved vertical edges on front that I haven't seen on any other listed in the ads. Band looks to be original Kreisler.
American Eagle, "A" I believe...
I'm a little "leery of theory" but here's a stretch. This case, less engraving is American Eagle. Bulova advertised American Eagles into the early 1940's. In 1941 this advert appears with an ENGRAVED American Eagle. It's not quite the same as this model but there seems to be possibility of a lost variant which appears here. Then I came across this advert. All I can ascertain is that it seems to a 'something' Eagle. I'd be tentative on American Eagle, no variant.
Seems to be a big price difference between the American Eagle at $49.50 and the Golden Eagle at $75. I wonder if the Golden Eagle was a sold gold case version?
I'm currently still at unknown, but at this point leaning towards an Unknown American Eagle.
The unengraved version of this watch is the Amercian Eagle 'E'. I'm certainly thinking it's from the Amercian Eagle family as well...just searching for a variant advert match.

American Eagle (no variant)
Updated to 'E" variant, based on engraved standard/plain case.
