Double date stamp on this gents of both the Crecent Moon and the Arrow. I'm supposing a movement production of 1937 and then joing witht he case in 1938. Rarer 7 Jewel in a men's watch in the last 30's. Pretty much a engraved Ranger, though I'm sure Bulova has a different name for him. I was hoping someone could appraise this and tell me how much it's worth. =)

It looks like a 1931 Lone Eagle case w/o chevrons on horizontal bezel. Dial & hands are LE. Looze the movement & acquire an appropriate 17 jewel movement.

Check the addition of the two Lone Eagle III watches above. The case without the chevrons is penalized to NO NAME. What a shame. Let's keep it in the stone age until you find an ad.
I agree this should remain an 'Unknown' until such time we have something tangable. The LE III whilst similar was, from what we can tell, only ever released with the top and bottom chevrons.
I think it should at least be discussed! The case sare the same measurements! Engraved Ranger wanane? Ranger??
A Watch in this configuration is shown as part Bulova's Westfield line named the 'HUDSON'.
Although not a Westie it's a start and shows the Watch did exist, not a 'LONE EAGLE' nor the 'RANGER', the glass differs.

Since we're throwing out "theories" I throw this one into the mix......
Since these watches were all hand assembled, is it possible that one of the "assemblers" did a "mix and match" for themselves or as a gift or out of boredom? Based on my research, the Westies and standard Bullys were coming out of the same place during this time frame.
If this possibility exists, then we need a new descriptive category or terminology other than "Frakenbully"...
I suggest, "Westbully" or "Bulowest" ???

The subject is a Bulova with Bulova signed movement and Dial. Although the Westfield version is identical and named 'HUDSON' Westfield movements were signed as such and the Dial is clealy signed Westfield in the ad.
it's anyones guess at this time what the Bulova signed version was called.

My comment on the theories was in response to the LE produced without the bezel "chevrons" by the lugs.
