This is one I've had for many years. I had it tagged as a "Horatio" but it has differences from the one in the data base. This one has a 7 jewel 10AE movement with a 1937 date code. It will run a short time if shaken but I haven't spent any time cleaning the movement. Not exactly a trophy watch. The back of the case has B-10k Rolled Gold Plate stamped on it. Curious to hear the panel's opinion of what it could be.
Hmmm this advert shows the watch valued at only $24.75 which to me suggests that a 7 jewel movement might actually correct. The other example we have in the database with 17J might be incorrect. I think your ID is spot on.
1938 Bulova Horatio
I think that looks like a good match.
1938 Bulova Horatio
Wow - that guy has had a hard life, 1938 Bulova Horatio is good for a match I think.
