Watch Description

Raised Gilt Arabic numerals and Bulova logo on White dial with Black printed tracks. Curved 10K gold filled case and back measuring 48mm lug to lug x 22mm wide excluding crown. The 21 Jewel 7AH movement appears to have a double strike 1937/1938.  There is a 7 digit serial number on the outside:  7751159. Cannot find a reference ad. Looks close to an “unfancy” (unengraved) Broadcaster. Unsure if this is authentic, a Frankenstein, or maybe rare?

I would certainly say authentic and it does look like a non engraved Broadcaster.  I haven't found anything yet but will keep looking.

Sure does match the Broadcaster sans the engraving.  I found no documentation of an unengraved version but sure that it is based on other models from this period that we have documented have both variants.

I'm not sure if i'm seeing this correct, but are the top lugs different from the bottom?

It certainy feels legit to me. You can just tell with some watches that they are correct. This one has a feel that it is all correct (well except for the top wire lug). The fact that you have two confirms this. One plain and one engraved further indicates that this is a model we have yet to ID.

It might be the Broadcaster, I'm still trying to find an advert that shows that model better than the angled side on view we currently  have in an advert.

1927 Bulova Unknown for me at this stage.

noting the 7AH vs 7AP movement.

'TIME KING' of this era is unaccounted for (accepts the same glass)

Reviewing the other Broadcaster watches and it seems this watch is a match. That is of course our Broadcaster ID is correct for the other watches.

Might the movement make a difference.....unknown at this time....depends if the jewel count is the determining factor.

Unknown for me for now.

This ad is fairly conclusive of the Broadcaster.  Noting this watch one of the hinged lugs broke and was replaced by a wire lug.
