Hello everyone! Adding another Bulova to the database. I believe this to be a 1936 Cleopatra. This seems to be almost an exact match to my 1936 Cleopatra (only difference is white gold plated instead of yellow gold plated). While I was looking for the ad for the 1936 Cleopatra I came across an ad for a 1936 Adele, they look like the same watch. I know sometimes with newspaper ads they were not completely accurate. As Kathy found two ads stating my other watch was a Cleopatra, I am assuming that these are both that model. Looking to see what you all think! Thanks!

Oh very nice! Great ad find for Cleopatra in white! I suggest that we change the yellow version to Adele as that ad states yellow https://mybulova.com/watches/1936-cleopatra-13138

Good observation Kathy. During the 1930's we see many instances of watch models indicating a choice of case color (sometimes in a single documented ad) with no reference to a variant. A good example is Lone Eagle. In 1934 it was available in yellow, white and two tone with all variants simply referred to as Lone Eagle.
I am on board with
1936 Adele

Nice. I'm wondering if the difference between Cleopatra and Adele was the dial? Cleopatra ad shows numbers at 12, 3, 6 and 9. Adele ad shows even numbers like subject watch as well as previously submitted one.
I suspect the previous submission is in fact Adele. Subject watch would appear to be a white version. Based on Cleopatra and Adele difference being dial, it's possible this white version with Adele style dial is another model all together. It could also be a variant of one or the other. Still looking.
Sometimes this can be a very involved process :o)
