Hi all, Is this case a Ranger? 1932 date code, and case number starts with a 2... I realize it's a redial, but was attracted to the neat two-tone case. I didn't see a two-tone Ranger in the database or otherwise, but I may have missed it...
Thanks, David
EDIT: 2014.08.09 Case Serial Number changed from outside number (211943) to inside case SN 2128000
David,
It certainly looks like a 'RANGER'ish Case but to Date I don't think We've seen a 2-tone engraved version advertised.
'RANGER' is 15 Jewels?
'UNKNOWN'
too early for ranger
possibly maxim here - http://m.watchophilia.com/photogallery/bulovas-1930-1939/a1933-maxim/

Very close, but I see no mention of a 2 tone Case in the linked ad which leads Me to believe the linked Watch is mis-identified.

just wondering why you find this one hard to be in two-tone yet you don't for this other 1932 watch?
Unknown after lookingvthrough the adverts. Can you please post additional pictures of the movement and inside case?

I'll try to take a couple pictures tonight. I have a new camera and need to charge the battery... then I'll see if I can figure out the macro mode. To be honest, I haven't tried to take pictures of watches, so it may take me a bit of time to figure out how to do it, size them correctly and upload them...
To add to my confusion, I took it apart just now and notice that the inside of the back of the case says "Bulova Quality" and has a different number than the number on the outside of the back. The inside number is 2128000, while the outside number is 211943.
I just added a picture of the back of the case that is from the eBay listing. The seller didn't include a picture of the inside back or movement, but as I mentioned in my reply to the Admin's post, I'll try to take a couple pictures tonight...
Could this be a 42 instead of a 32? The case is very similar to the 42 Chief.

H Bob,
I looked at the pictures of the Chief, and while close, it doesn't seem to be a match. Also, the movement is a 10AN, which is listed from 1925-1937 (unless of course it was swapped out...).
David
The T datecode of the Movement corresponds with the Case seriel number beginning with 2. The Dial numerals showing are also 1932, as found here on this 1931 'PRENTICE' as an example http://www.mybulova.com/watches/1931-prentice-3777
'32 is good.
