Very cool Bulova that I couldn't resist bidding on when I saw it on eBay. Works perfectly after some regulation and keeps time almost exactly after a day. Seems to be the Bulova Bertram but a unique version with black enamel designs on the sides instead of the gold strips. I had to get a new crystal for it and replaced the strap with a somewhat period correct black strap, but besides that the watch hasn't been serviced but keeps great time. I'd like to know why this version never appears anywhere as compared to the two tone version.
Agreed, I don't believe this watch is a Bertram, but may be that illusive 1931/32 Conrad, Alex previously discussed.
Hopefully an advert can be found to confirm one wayor the other.
At this stage it is a 1931 Bulova unknown.
One of my favourite models that only occasionally comes by. Very beautiful example but unknown.
