This is a square shaped Bulova calendar watch with the date at 12 o’clock position and a wandering second hand. There is the standard 7 digit serial number on the inside back case 2129567. But in addition, there's a 6 digit serial number on the outside: 222294. The watch is in almost NOS condition and runs perfectly. Cannot find a reference. Unsure if this is authentic, a Frankenstein, or maybe rare?
Rare they are.
Here are the other 4 exampes we have.on site. You'll not they are always in a different case.

Your's having the wandering second hand is rarer, with a few known examples known and a first for our database.
1932 Bulova Calendar would be my ID to keep it grouped with the others 1932 examples.
The dial dosen't appear to be a re-dial and is super clean, as is the rest of the watch.
Question, is the crystal warping the image at the lower edges?

Yes, the dial pic looks distorted. But in person it is not. The crystal is very tall. See new pic.

Thanks for confirming. Looks like the crystal in a replacement.

Should I replace Crystal?

That's a personal choice. If you are happy with it, it's probably not worth sourcing a replacement, but I think it shouldn't be too hard to find a suitable flat square crystal.

Added new pic 1/12/2025. New crystal GS-x725 (20.8 x 20.0mm) and new old stock Kreisler pigskin strap.
1932 Bulova Calendar is a good classification. Rare case and even more rare wandering seconds. A true unicorn.
