Case is simply marked "Bulova Quality" and "Pat. Jan 11, 1927", with the serial number. Nicely chased white metal. Movement is running but does need a crown. It is a hinged case and is complete with the full dust cover in place. The model eludes me.....looks a lot like a Magnolia or Mercury but the case ends between the lugs is recessed.......and the side chasing follows through onto the lugs. It is also VERY similar to a President Madison, but again the ends are recessed between the lugs.
So....I have no idea of the model and hope you can help!! I am looking forward to getting the crown, getting it serviced and back in action!!!
Watch dates to 1931 based on the case serial number. Will update entry.
Can you please confirm the movement date code as a square (1927/37) seem incorrect for a 1931 case.

Ok thanks.
Is it a mismatch with the 1927 movement?

Yes, definitely a square.......
So perhaps an "Apollo" Perhaps with an earlier movement?
Hello again M Watchman. We have yet to identify this model watch, we have several in the Unknown portion of our dB. Here's one just like it. I like this model, it's a fine looking watch.
I would ID this as a 1931 Bulova Unknown.

WOW, that is just like it!! Learning a LOT here!!!
Thanks!!
Great case engraving on this one, unfortunately at this point it's still
1931 Unknown
I found this while looking around......could this be "the Charles"?

Naw... The Charles has those little Omega symbols on the top and bottom of the bezel, just like the Lone Eagle.
No, not the Charles, still Unknown
