Mr's new watch.
Listing stated:
Bulova 17J grade 10AN, heavy square white base metal (WBM) hinged case with hand engraved frame and short extended lugs, approx. 27 mm x 33mm lug to lug, mint ivory toned metal dial with luminous numbers, blue steel hands with luminous inserts and subsidiary seconds, white base metal (WBM) expansion band.
Has a cover over the movement and as I don't have any watch tools I'm unable to get this off at the moment.
Hmm. Could be 1930 Envoy, though that's 15J. I couldn't read it on the movement.
Looks like a 29 Fleetwood and the bracelet is a match. No engraving on the advert model and the information is a little too grainey to get any thing on jewel count.
I found a very clear advert of the Fleetwood and you watch is not a Fleetwood, it is an Ambassador.
The good news is that I found my camera, so I should be able to get some better pictures.
Still need to try and ease the movement out though.
Case is sorta similar to the 1930 Envoy ad snippet below. Click for full ad.
Lugs don't "angle in" on subject watch, and horizontal bezel is different.
The lugs are "fatter" than the vertical bezel on the ad too.
currently an 'UNKNOWN'
yep...Unknown.
Yes, I think so too. Unknown
OK I am convinced Unknown
