according to the Price Guide the 'GOVERNOR' was 14K. with lugs differing slightly from the subject.

 

When compared directly to the 1930 'LA FAYETTE' ad the subject matches on several points with the bezel appearing wider.

It's by far the closest we have.

Tentative La Fayette for me until we come across further evidence one way or the other.

Mark is that a new La Fayette advert or one we already have?

That's a close match, I'd say LaFayette tent.

I think Fifth nailed it, La Fayette would get my vote...and I don't think all dials were lumed back then, I have a few 1920's that have Black painted or outlined numbers with no lume, probably the "price leader" watches?
