Do you think that the crown was replaced on my watch? It doesn’t match the ad.

Your watch is a Baroness. Given the age of your watch, the likelihood is that the crown has been replaced at some stage, but anyway it seems the watches have been supplied with both the flat metal crown as well as the crown with the blue simulated sapphire stone since Bulova would advertise the watches with both.
Nice find. Looks to be a 1928 Baroness to me.
Watchmakers generally have a lot of old spare parts, and cabochon type crowns aren't that hard to find. If you consult the NAWCC website, it will identify watchmakers by area, and they may be able to fit the correct crown.
