Ladies and Gentlemen.......This is a 1927 Bulova Mercury, in solid 14k white gold. Amazing condition with a fabulous Simmons bracelet. This is the first "Mercury" we've seen and it will not surprise me if it's the only one we'll ever see. Engraving is wonderful and unique. I'm not sure if the clam shell display case is original but I've never seen one like it. Just look at that crown! I'm pretty excited about this one, a true Bulova Treasure!

It is a magical watch Jaroslav, like you I have become very particular about what I buy. When I saw this one I knew it would take magic to win the auction but, voila, I did!

I see this watch for the first time and frankly I'm glad I did not notice auction, otherwise we battling together :)
I've been searching for one of those for about 5 years. You have the first one I've seen.

Yeah, there are a precious few Bulovas that can truly be called 'rare', I really do think this is one of them.
I cannot tell a lie, I thought about you when I bought it. It would have been a snag for merc to grab the Merc. BTW, it did come from the bay, I've had it for two or three months.
Very handsome design, nice one Geoff. Agree with Mercury.
Regarding the display case, I would date it to the 40s, same shape and gold corners as many of the maroon fabric ones of this period.
Another stunner Geoff. Merc... nice watch man.
