Watch Description

Hello,  I think this might be a Baroness as seen in a 1926 ad but I am not sure.  This is my first 1920s Bulova and I do not know how to take the movement out.  I can not find a movement symbol but there is a # I am hoping will be helpful.  It has a 14KGF case and I have put a ribbon band on it with a gold filled clasp to be close to original.  It has a sapphire crown.

Also on the case number I am having a hard time figuring out if they are 9s or 5s or 6s.  Made my best guess.  Hopefully someone has some knowledge on how these numbers looked and can correct me if I'm wrong.  Thanks!

Hi, the Numbers are correct. No worrries! The Watch is Indeed a Baroness from 1927, recognisable by the American Standard symbool. The movement can be removed simply by pulling it out. Put your nail or a knife under the rim of this dust protector and it will come out. Probably the date symbol is under the rim of this dust protector. Success!

Oh wonderful, thanks for confirming the numbers.  I will try and get the movement out and check for a symbol.  Thank you!

For me based on the serial number starting with a '9' am still at 1929. It would be good to confirm the movement date stamp.

We have an 1929 advert showing this watch also, still as the Bulova Baroness.

Thank you!  I will try and get the movement out to confirm with a movement date stamp.

Figured out how to get the dust cover off so here is the face and I will post the movement under this.

And here is the best photo I could get of the movement.  I am not seeing a date stamp but maybe someone with more experience will be able to spot it.  Thanks!

I think I see a little square left of the rusty screw in the rusty area. Maybe when you clean the rust it will appear.

After cleaning the rust off I can see a square in that spot.  It is super hard to get it to photograph.  Here is the best I could get.
