This is one of two Bulova watches that I purchased at an auction. The watch is running and appears to keep good time. I was planning to sell the watch, that is until my wife saw it lol.
I would appreciate any information regarding this watch. I’m fascinated by the intricate movement and beauty of these watches.
Hi metwxman, your watch is called the Prudence. And still looking very nice indeed! It was first advertised in December 1925. You will find the ad on this site. Advertising continued regularly in 1926 until 1930. That makes it one of the longer running models of Bulova. Yours is from 1925, so an early version.

Could it be a 1925 Judith? The Judith looks a lot like the 1926 Prudence and would match the date IMHO.
Agree 1926 Prudence

I'm good with 1926 Prudence.
Thank you for the info. My wife wants to wear it, but the band is too small. Any suggestions?
Circle date stamp on the movement and the case serial number beginning with 5 would date this watch to 1925 and as such would be the 1925 Bulova Judith.

Good catch on the date/ name evolution. I'll change my vote accordingly. 1925 Judith
Yes, emergency break. I know the ad where you got this Judith from. It is published on this site, and at the bottom it says "as published in the December issue of the American Magazine". I have that magazine, but the ad was not in there. There was another ad, that I published on this site. Meaning, the ad comes from somewhere else, probably a jeweler magazine or something? Maybe the owner of that ad can clarify the origin? So, the question is, why was that ad not published in the December issue of the American Magazine? An elaborate check done by me, learned that there are three mistakes in that ad. Three names are wrong: Gloria, Marcella and ......... Judith. In the newspaper ads and in the ads as published in the Saturday Evening Post, those watches are published as Pandora, Beverly and ....... Prudence. The only ad, where these watches show up as Gloria, Marcella and Judith, is this particular ad that never got published in the actual American Magazine, hence...........void.

OK, I'm back on the fence. Good catch Alex. If correct and this single ad showing this watch as Judith is an anomaly and suspect, as all other ads show it as Prudence, then by a published and confirmed ad "show of hands". it's a Prudence.
