I picked up this really early ladies watch. The watch needs a good cleaning and a lug repair, but all in all not to bad for the year.
I believe this to be the model as there are several 1924 Ads which seems to work.
EDIT 2012.10.17 Corrected typo in movement field from 6AT to 6TA based on photos. Will
Looks good to me. 3 stars.
Looks like the movment model is a 6TA. Perhaps typo in root record?
I think you're right Will. Dr Ranfft has a 6TAA 17j listed. He dates it to ca. 1925 but to me the styling looks older than the subject movement.

...and that 6 in Dr Ranfft's example sure looks like a G at first glance. I have no idea what the other number listed under :example" is - the 166112. Almost looks like the example has two serial numbers, one next to Bulova (10311) and another on the far left. Neither of them look like 166112. "Styling" does look older than subject watch.
Thanks DarHin
6 TA
Doubtful the Watch had an actual model Name in 1924 - ad Dated '24 http://www.mybulova.com/sites/default/files/vintage_ads/1924-AD2.jpg
In reply to 6 TA Doubtful the Watch had by FifthAvenueRes…
6T, 6TA, 6TAA, and 6E, all the same ebauche: FHF 344.
Sorry Gents but I'm not seeing the smooth arc of the Case Bezel as on the 'PRINCINE' either

The subject Watch has 3 distinct sections to the arc of it's Case - exemplified in the image above and as shown on the Watch in 1924 ad2 linked in My prior post.

'UNKNOWN'
Good eye. I don't see those three "angles" in the 1926 ads, which are the basis for the ID.
Yep, nice pickup Mark.
EDIT:- Also the engraving does not match any of the Princine watches or ads in DB, Princine has "laurel leaf" style engraving, subject has the earlier style.
