I've been unable to identify this Bulova movement. This page required a manufacture year entry but I really have no idea. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance. Michael Lavin

Hi Michael, We really need to see the watch together with the top of the case to do an ID. Also a photo of the back of the case. The crystal does not have to be installed. It is an early model that may have a non Bulova movement. Please add the additional photos in the comments or email them to admin so he can add them. Thank you.
Dear Michael, your watch is from 1923, during which Bulova used model numbers. And yours is 5720. It carries a rare 5K movement which is an ebauche from Glycine (ebauche is a blank from which a finished movement is made). In 1925, this model received the name Nordica, but given your watch is from 1923, the correct type is 5720.

It's possible the Lady Maxim ID would be correct as it is also possible the 5720 ID is correct, despite us not having a confirming advert.
The 5720 would seem correct if we extend our current thinking on how the model numbers are assigned.
5 - Movement size = 5 ligne
7 - Indicator of a 17 jeweled movement
20 - Case style being solid gold (even number).
It's difficult to see for sure if the movement does or doesn't have a date code, but I do think the case serial number does date to about 1923.
This movement is a rare bird, which is both a good thing and a bad thing.....comes down to one thing....parts.
