Hi...Can anyone tell me how to remove a Watertite movement from the case? I can get the front bezel off easily, but have no clue as to what to do next. Do these have two-part stems? Any info would be much appreciated!
Yes they have a two part stem, the one in the crown is a male and of course the part in the watch is the female. If you are very careful you can seperate them by pulling hard on the crown and it should pop off. There are those who say you can wiggle the movement to one side and they should seperate but I have never had any luck doing that. It just takes patience and being very careful in performing the operation. If you should brake the female I have parts to replace it.

After reading the other post on removing two-part stems, I have to admit to feeling just a little intimidated by this whole procedure....especially since I have never even seen a two part stem before! I have a pretty good relationship with my watchmaker, so maybe I will ask him to walk me through the first one.
