Jaguar A is it an uncommon piece?

Submitted by Massrog on

Hello, I'm new to this forum and to the brand and would like any information I can find on my newest addition to the collection. I just purchased a L9 dated Jaguar A in 14k online and am awaiting it's arrival. I have been unable to find really anything about these online and would appreciate any information on it. I wondered particularly if the dial should say "Swiss" on it like my other original vintage Omegas etc? I know on most vintage watches if it doesn't have that it is likely a redial and it seems this would be a difficult pattern to replicate. In the image I have so far, I can't see any script at 6 o'clock. Here are the images from the listing that I have. Thanks in advance!

I couldn't get them to load so I posted links

Your dial definitely looks to be a refinished one.   PM me your address and I will send you a dial and movement.    It is in decent shape and all original.

Just checking to see if you got the movement and dial.   Anxious to see the finished watch.

Hi Jim, Your package arrived the day before yesterday! It looks great and as soon as the actual watch gets here I'll attempt to switch it in.  Thanks again!

I finally got the case open with only minor scratching! here it is with newly sourced dial/movement from Jim.

Looks awesome.  Glad to help you out.  I love to see the gold cased watches restored.
