Bulova Watch ORD DEPT. USA OF 2789

Submitted by Squale69 on

Hello,

I've got this Bulova watch / 15 jewels 10AK / and would like to give it a better look...

Crown is missing and crystal has to be changed.

Any spare parts seller to recommend ?

What about the residual radium on the numbers / Hands ? how to manage it ?

Thank you for the feed-backs.

These are the correct Crowns for this case:

try eBay.

I'd leave the dial and hands alone and replace the crystal.

any run of the mill 10AK (or equivalent) stem should work although I'm pretty sure the Military 10AK wrist watch used Stainless Steel.

Your watch looks like a very nice unmolested piece.

Thank you for the feedback !

How can I get the crystal reference ?

Is there a Bulova data base available with all spare parts ref and specifications ?

Thanks.

My pleasure.

I have these I've been saving for a rainy day..

I know the correct Crystal is / was low dome.

for the Movement check the parts interchange catalog or Military catalogs under 'Information' at the head of the page.

Old Miliary parts of interest can be seen here: Bulova Military Surplus / Military issue N.O.S, parts. | myBulova.com

*Mfr's No on the Crystal package makes Me wonder if the Bulova Crystal # would be 1075?  I honestly do not know and many simply buy a generic round crystal to fit.

OF on the case indicates a Waterproof case.  There are seals in the case tube and I'm positive the Crystal has a gasket.

I'm 99.99% certain this Case has original Glass
