This ad is out of the "Philadelphia Inquirer, Saturday Morning, April 21, 1906" The key is the American Standard Watch Company. My thoughts are that since Bulova owned the American Standard Watch Case Company in 1916, wonder if there was an earlier company they purchased or if this was a trade name they started using. The official Biography of the company is that Bulova started selling watches in 1907, is it possible they started in 1906? Was this possibly a trade name they were using at the time? I have my doubts but an interesting ad.
American Standard Watch Co. is indeed an interesting additive to Bulova History.
This American Standard Hallmarked 6 Jeweled 10B movement was found in an old Westfield.
Joseph Bulova registered the name Westfield in 1917.
The American Standard Watch Co, 6 Jewel 10B movement being the same as the Westfield hallmarked 6 Jewel 10B.
There is an obvious connection between Bulova and American Standard Watch Co.
