Accutron Navigator Mark IV stem needed

Submitted by bobpiker on

I'm looking for a stem for a Navigator Mark IV. It's just over 24.78mm long as that's the longest I have and it's still a bit short. Any ideas about where to find one of these. Thanks, Bob

If you are unable to find one you can purchase stem extenders which will give you the correct length. You just need to know the tap size of the existing stem or you can buy a kit of them.

Good luck with it. BTW, extenders come in two types, where the tap size is the same for the stem part you are extending as well as the the part the crown will attach to or where the tap size can be different for the part where the crown attaches to. You would want the type where the tap size is the same for each end of the extender.

Also, after extending the stem you will then need to cut and file down the extender so that the crown fits against the case correctly, but you would likely need to do that even if you are able to find a NOS stem.

Thanks a bunch. With that in mind, I think I just found one. I believe the tap diameter is 1.10mm.

If you can order by 'mm' that is good as some companies (eg, Esslinger vs. Cousins) treat TAP size differently. Esslinger would say that 1.1mm is TAP 8, but Cousins would call that TAP 11.
