1970's Bulova Snorkel

What movement came with the Snorkel?  I have a 819 case that appears to be for the Snorkel model. the dial seat diameter of the case comports to the 25.5-26mm Snorkel dial and I have an AS1913 based movement that should fit the case but I'd like to fit the proper movement if this is not the one. Catalog says the case should use an 11OKACB - day/date movement which is AS1906 based. My 1913 is only the day.

Without know what watch you're attempting to reimagine we have no definitive answer. From the home page you can search Bulova models by decade or year. Most of the records, although not all, will have movement information. Look for Oceanographers and Snorkels.

as posted, a Snorkel from the 70's. I know what the ABC Cat. sez goes in there - 11OKACB. i'm trying to confirm if the 819 case is actually a snorkel case.

I have this watch, it's a Caravelle diver (case #819). Mine came with an 11UOACB (AS2066). I've seen other examples of this watch with the 11UOACB as well.  They turn up on ebay quite frequently, there are a handful on there right now.

According to the 1972 ABC Case Parts Catalog, case '819' takes a Caravelle 11OKACB.

thanks. had that info. the question is, does an 819 case refer to a Snorkel model, or is it another model?  Only examples pictured on this site are 2 early 70's Snorkels, both with very different cases

No unfortunately there is no reference to the 'Snorkel' model in the case parts book that I could find.
