Watch Description

1944 President G. in excellent condition.

Dial is undocumented on ads for this year (that I've seen). Wondering if this is a redial or original.

Looks to me to be a match to this one (your previous submission) ,with a different dial . I'm going to agree with

President , noting dial discrepancy until an ad proves otherwise. Question: in the side by side photo you just submitted in comments it appears that subject watch might be rose gold, or is that reflection? If case is indeed rose, the dial color would be appropriate.

Yes. Both of these submissions are solid 14k rose gold. The latter is in my possession now.

Dial colors are appropriate for both. Previous submission with slanted Arabic numerals is uncharacteristic for 1944. However, no ads prove otherwise nor other specimen(s) in database or on the web (for that matter) can prove dial is appropriate for either. Apparently, the 1944 President G (if that is what this is), is somewhat of an enigma.

Thinking possible redial, as there us a notch at in the bottom on the dial under the sub-dial. These notches usually indicate some profession work to the dial has been done.

I actually think that Kathy might be onto something with the President "G". To me the case does look very similar and the solid gold case is correct, along with th 21J movement.

I'm not following you on the notch.. I'm looking at the watch under magnification and don't see any notches under the sub-dial.

I do suspect the dial has been swapped as well.

Definitely the President G case in rose gold.

I do see the notch you're talking about. I have 4 tanks and they all have that notch. Both of my craftsman A's and my Tuxedo also have that notch.

I believe the "G" is the yellow gold variant based on the price point of this ad for yellow and the other ad stating "G" was $92.5.  He has confirmed that it is rose gold so I am now at a generic President.
