This watch was my fathers. We think he got it as a gift in or around 1945 in Macon, GA. We are trying to find out the year, model and value of the watch. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
Hello and welcome to myBulova! I would put your watch at 1949 based on the serial number. If you ever get a photo of the movement that will help in the dating. I believe your watch is a His Excellency. Based on the yellow case it may be the "NN" like this one https://mybulova.com/watches/1949-his-excellency-8967 these did have black dials as well but not sure if that would change the variant (the variant like "NN" indicate subtle changes in the model) like this one https://mybulova.com/watches/1948-his-excellency-nn-2503. Sorry but we do not give values here, just ID help.

Actually pretty easy. I was freaked out the first few times but it's somewhat hard to break anything I'd you don't manhandle stuff.
There's a little lip on the case ack that you get under and pop it off. Try to use something like a hard piece of plastic at first so you don't scratch up the case as your 1st time.
Afterwards it just snaps back in place.

Ok great! That means the movement is date stamped as 1948 and the case is 1949. Feel free to email the photo and I will add it. kmlow@live.com
