Anyone recognize this watch, it has an asterisk so I am assuming it might be 1941? also cannot find a case
number that matches, I know its gold filled, ladies, but Im stuck, it is a 17 jewel 7M movement
Thanks
Shelley
Hi Shelley, I believe your watch is a Priscilla like this one https://mybulova.com/watches/1939-priscilla-9873. The case number will be unique to each watch. I would date this watch as 1942 by the case serial number with a 1941 movement. It is not uncommon for the movement and case to be a year between. Nice example. This ad is from 1941.
1942 Bulova Priscilla
Hi Shelly, thanks for sharing. The asterisk on the movement indicates 1941. The case serial number starting with a "2" indicates the watch was assembled in 1942. This isn't unusual and we see a year difference between movement and case quit often,
Neat watch! I agree, it's a
1942 Priscilla
