The caseback date should put it in the early 50's. I can say with certainty, There was no American Girl in the 40's or at least I've never seen one earlier than the 50's. I think this one will be from 1952-53 but I wouldn't commit to that notion 100%.

I'm good w/ American Girl, but I don't think this model was advertised until the 1950's.  Any suggestions on a date for this watch?  It couldn't have been an American Girl in 1947.

Should we update year to our "guess" of 1952?  Sounds like 1947 isn't possible w/ this model series.

Nope, 1947 isn't a possibility but I don't think we can assingn a date without confirmation of the case date stamp. The watch is an American Girl with a movement swap. That's about as far as we should go with it.

I would agree, Non-Conforming American Girl, wrong movement, wrong era...

Wrong movement doesn't make it non-conforming neccesatily, it just makes it an American Girl with the wrong movement.

If you put a 10AE in a Conqueror or Lone Eagle, it would still be a Conqueror or Lone Eagle, just with the wrong movement.

Sounds like we have a non-American Girl dial now too.  Incorrect movement and incorrect dial, along with no solid year of case production (which we would need to use if ID'ed as American Girl- since we are basically ID'ing the case in this instance).

I think it's either Non-Conforming, or a record which can be deleted (or ignored) since we don't even know the date.
