I do not have an ad but the ads do not name all of the variants. - although there are several different examples (?) of the "B" variant in the Watch database.
Given that We do not know what all ("A" "B" "C" "D" "E" "G" ect, ect) of the variants look like IMO the safe ID is as a generic 'AMERICAN CLIPPER' - as the subject Watch does not match the ad for the "F" variant, the ad shows a Watch on a matching bracelet.

Dial color, Case embellishments, or lack of, and strap are all in play with this particular Model.

This could help enormously Shawn. "A"- white dial, plain case, link band. "B"- white dial, plain case, leather band. "C"- black dial, plain case, link band. "D"- black dial, plain case, leather band. "E" white dial, engraved case, leather band. "F"- white dial, engraved case, link band. Only problem is, why does "E" and "F" not follow the progression of previous designations?
EDIT- On second thoughts, that just confuses matters. I agree with Geoff.
Is there another engraved American Clipper in the ad database?? The only one that I see is the "F" that has engraving, we have White dial, Black dial, plain case and the engraved case, all with a different variant letter, so until I see PROOF that a strap will change this from a "F" to another letter designation, its still a "F" for me.
True, only the ad for the "F" shows an engraved bezel, but We don't have ads showing all of the variants only "B" and "C".
The White Dial with engraved bezel on Leather could be the "A", "D", "E" or "G" ect.
"F" shows a White Dial, engraved bezel with matching bracelet, based on trends within the model line the engraved bezel on Leather is most likely another variant, one We have yet to see advertised.

Following OT's logic and the ads we currently have, there isn't another ad for a clipper that's engraved w this dial designated as anything other than a "F". So while it doesn't match the ad for F for mount, there exists no ad in database to suggest otherwise. There is the possibility that an ad may come along indicating this case/dial on leather is a different variant, but IMO we can't ID on what may come along.
Following Marks logic and ads, there is most likely an unknown variant which may come along showing mount makes a difference, and this does give some doubt to variant F designation.
So I'm thinking if it's ID's as an "F", it would be tentative IMO. If it were ID'ed as a generic AC, it would be confirmed Known.
I still haven't voted....I'm working through all this -and one of those ads showing two of the variants is really hard to read the text.
