The 8AC is based on the 8AE, which came first, despite the letter. Either could have ended up in a 1942 Senator, as production was current for both, but did the Senator always have the 8AC? The 8AE shows up in the db in a "Spencer". 17 jewels seems to be correct and both movts were available with 17-21j. It is a possible movt swap, but if it is, it is very appropriate.
