There is, the * just north of the case screw on the left and what appears to be a hand struck partial x just south.

not the best but the X is visible, there's also an Asterisk just above the case screw.

most certainly.
One other point of interest: there is a 3 digit numeral stamped into the underside of the lower right case lug: 684
Which coincides with the last 3 digits of the Case serial number.
