Watch Description

Hinged set back case measures 29.25mm lug to lug x 16.5mm non-inclusive of the crown using calipers.

'Damaskeene' dial shows painted black numerals and black modern style hour and minute hands. 

*note: There is no Bulova hallmark on the dial leading Me to believe the watch is a Lady Maxim model.

Caseback is stamped as shown. 

Vintage ad is dated 1922.

6716-B is the correct ID

6716 is 18K Gold.

The subject is 14K Gold and as described in the 1922 ad.

At this stage the only matching advert shown is for the 6716-B. 

It would have probably been part of the general Lady Maxim grouping of ladies watches initially and then publicised with the model number later on. (IMO).

My preference is always for the model ID that narrows down the exact name or model variant, so recommend 6716-B for now.

I agree with the recommended ID 100%. 

Consider LADY MAXIM being a stand alone brand name at this time (before the foundation of Bulova Watch Co in 1923),  just as RUBAIYAT, WESTFIELD, ACCUTRON ect

Actually, I take back the statement that the only matching advert we have is for the 6716-B, as the advert actually says 6714-B.

Whilst we have no confirmation advert, it seems at this time the 6716-B (B for 14K) is the likely ID.

We know the watch pictured as the 6716, details and price all match previous ads.

This ad tells Us it is a 'LADY MAXIM' watch.

I think the -S version had Sapphires added to the band (as per an ad), don't quote Me on that.

Hi, can you double check the movement. The picture is quite blurry, but it seems to show PPI and not 6PPI and as serial number 6425 and not 5426.
