Watch Description

My husband received this watch from his maternal grandmother.    We would love to know more about the watch.  Thank you.  (I didn't know the year - just a guess).  The pop-off back casing is stamped '14K'.  The movement is marked '17 SEVENTEEN JEWELS', 'UNADJUSTED', 'BULOVA WATCH CO', 'SWISS', '6AH' AND 'BXW'.

The band is connected to the face by a rose gold plated circular link on either side, attaching the rose gold plated linked 1" extension pieces to the plated stainless teel expansion watch band.  The expansion band is stamped on the underside "KESTENMADE', 'NON-CORROSIVE', 'STAINLESS STEEL', 'LSCO', 'PAT.2.267.967' AND 'MADE IN USA'.

I hope y'all will forgive me for posting this photo on here, but I'm trying to make a point and nothing does it better than pictures. I think the watch in question is non-conforming unless someone has seen Elgin and Bulova use the same case before. I know I haven't.

???? I don't understand what you're trying to do here Fifth. Elgin primarily used Wadsworth cases. I found another watch with a case exactly like the one we're trying to identify with "Cosmos" on the dial. I think this watch and the others with this same case were recased movements put together by jewelry shops and have no connection to the Bulova Watch Company. Just my opinion. I welcome your opinions.

HELLO! My watch, received by my partner from his mother, has the same face!

My pics are being reviewed and will be posted soon i hope.  I have not opened it and have no information except to say that the case is white gold, says 14KT. on the back and is different than yours, but similarly ornate with amethyst stones.  What do you think the stones are on the face?
