Watch Description

1951 "Selfwinding" bumper. I can't even find any information on this movement. Was this model  Bulova's first automatic wrist watch? What is it? Will my watch guy get it running?  So many questions.

I've been back to this one for a week. I think it's a Duo Wind E, noting a different style on the hands

Same as with the 'DUO WIND' ad used for ID, different hands no 'selfwinding'  printed on the dial.

The movement differs also, 'DUO WIND's in this style case in the database have the 9AB.

and as the 'DUO WIND' "F" / 'THAYER' name change is known to exist it is not out of the realm of possibility that the 'DUO WIND' "E"  becomes the 'HAWTHORNE'
