Goodmorning I have received this old-stock watch as a gift from my uncle, and I woould like to know some further information about it (gender, volts, type of watchstrap etc...) It's my first time I own a Bulova so I'd like to improve my new passion...many thanks

Have you checked our data base for the year your watch was made?? It is a dandy and should be serviced and worn with pride. What you have there is a tunning fork watch and when running correctly it should hum, no ticking to the watch. I can't tell you what battery you need since I don't know the model number but a 218 is what I am thinking.
If you could peel off the sticker on the case back it could give us more information, and if you can pop the back off and take pics of the movement as it sets in the case it will also give more information.

Hi Darby - welcome. Nice Accutron you brought us. Assuming that your watch is a 1975 model it's likely that Bulova didn't give it a proper name, by that time most of their watches were just given model numbers. When we can't find a proper designation we catalog it in the database as Accutron ("generic" doesn't mean it's average or normal, it just means it's all we have to go on). It really is a nice watch.
To answer your questions - The watch appears to be a mans watch, in those days men's watches weren't the behemoths we see today. Hard to tell anything about the strap but it might have some marking not shown in the photos. I'm pretty sure that all the Accutron movements were 1.35 volts but there are two or three different batteries they used. Accutron battery replacement is a topic I will leave to one of out Accutron experts as there is a bit of controversy over which battery is correct.
Sounds like you're officially hooked on Bulova's now, off to ebay for you to buy a drawer full!!
Nice watch. I quickly checked the ads, and saw similar, but nothing "exact".
Maybe others will spot this one in the many ads we have.
I'm good with 1975 Accutron for now (model name/number unknown).
Movement info would be nice. Since we are ID'ing based on the case, it may not matter....but if the watch was serviced, the jeweler could have replaced the original movement with a newer quartz just to get it running again. This was pretty common, or at least not uncommon.
