I have been looking for a decent Bulova from my birth year of 1974 . Mostly there are ugly brown dialed watches or Accutrons and I just don't want another hummer. I also didn't want to go quartz and wanted an automatic. I did a search for N4... and this guy popped up. At first I thought it was a smaller sized ladies but kept coming back to it cause what a funky look. So... I snagged it. It arrived today and I was super pleasantly surprised at how man sized it is. A rather large Bulova for the time. It's definately a keeper. The 1974 "Minuteman" in maroon.

Hi,
I'm new here at MyBulova. Question. I just finished a repair on this exact watch. The 11AOACB is a great movement. My question is the case? Is is stainless with gold tone? Or thin RGP? The playing or "tone" on the one I have is so thin that a very light polish has made the underlying metal show through. I'm probably going to electroplate it in 24K. But, I'm just curious. Most of the Bulovas I've repaired/serviced have been 50's/40's. And they're almost always RGP. Thanks for your time. Hope you're having a great day!
