Hi, just an information, I have just received a bulova accutron as a gift from my uncle; how can I recognize the caliber o f the watch? It is written in the bottom of the case? The question would sound silly,but it is my first time I own a Bulova so forgive my ignorance. Many thanks

The movement model will be stamped on the movement itself, so you will have to take the case back off to find it.

The above example is not a 2300  movement as stated in the spec's because the setting stem is located at the 4:00 position, which is a indication of a 218 or 219 series movement. The 230 series had the stem at the normal 3:00 position.

If the setting stem was located on the back of the watch, it would be a 214 series and it would not have the day/date function.

There are 6 series of Accutron movements, the 214 which has only one model, the 218 which has 6, the 219 which has 4, the 221 which has only one, the 224 which has 3 models, and the 230 which has 6 models.
