Nothing seems to be matching up for this watch unless it's simply another unknown BB model, but it's not any of the BBs shown in the ads shown here so far. The lugs don't match any of these.
Non-conforming based on the year differences.

I'll say Non-Conforming for all reasons discussed above.
Maybe we will find it's an unknown variant, but if Jabs says "something was not right" when he opened it up, that's an indication of some nice McGivering. Is that a word??? ...or only in USA.
