Hello, I purchased this watch years ago at a yard sale but just recently found it. I planned to sell on eBay after researching it. Here is the problem I'm having : The back shows M9, which according to the chart means its from 1969...correct? Well, I have researched for 2 days now 1000s of pics of these and can not find any that have the same dial as this one, the minute marks are in center along with Date in the 3 o'clock space, as opposed to all I have seen with the marks along the outter edge. I did, however, find what looks to be this exact same watch in a eBay auction for a Bulova Ad Poster in which it states its from 1966. Can anyone help me figure this out? I would like any info I list to be correct as it will of course help in selling. Praying its worth more then I paid for it :-) It needs cleaning but I do not want to cause any damage to it so will have to have it done and as far as the movement, I have no idea how to open it .
Thanks so much!
I have not found advert to its conformity with these watches, these watches are similar to the model Ambassador "AE", but have a slightly different texture the dial
It will be Ambassador, but variation may not be able to determine (at least now)

Hi Mrs W, welcome to myBulova I don't think there's any doubt it's a 1969 Ambassador. Good luck with your sale.
Yes, nice Ambassador.
I would agree with Ambassador, variant unknown.
Possibly a Micro-Rotor movt.
Thank you for the kind welcome and info.
In reference to the ad with the same watch here is the eBay auction # 130759847946
Solid 18K Gold!!!
1967 dated, info on bottom of lower pic blowup.

This one I do not believe is 18k .... I think it's stamped 10 but will look under a bright light later today. It's the center marks that make this different then the rest and as you can see in that ad the marks are in center.
i will also try to open it later today and take pics.
This may turn out to be worthless but thank you all for your help!!
If it is the microrotor movement, those alone are worth selling, very popular.
Ok so I guess the most important thing to do is open it and see what's inside....but I honestly believe this has to be opened from the front ....and I watched a few YouTube videos where they need a tool. Any ideas on how much it could cost me to have someone open it for me?
I took to one guy who wouldn't bother and said these old watches are worthless. When I said that I needed to know movement he said "unimportant, this is worthless" ... Yeah not goin back there! Not to say it has real value but to just blow me off the way he did showed me he knew nothing. He said to see if it works I have if to wind it...I said well doesn't it say auto wind on the face? Lol
Any of you local to So. Calif and have a shop? :)
