Solid gold case with stainless steel cover. Face has the Bulova Icon at the 12, 6 & 9 positions with Bulova Accoutron at the 9 o'clock and date window at 3 o'clock. Minutes sections around the dial 18KT stamped on the bevel at 6 o'clock & .750 stamped at 12 o'clock, the date winder at the 4 o'clock position has the Bulova icon . On the case is stamped BULOVA STAINLESS STEEL PATENDED 1-736336 M9. 54041 and 1527 are etched. On the movement is stamped Bulova 218D USA. On the rear of the case is stamped SWISS, in a box 704 next to an arched box CB.

It depends what is wrong with it, Jim. If the index wheel is shot, you have to replace it with a NOS one, and they are getting few and far between. Also, you can overhaul it and get it to run with Accucells, which last mayb 6-8 months, or use a procedure to index the movt to run at the correct frequency to jive with the higher voltage of a modern cell. It's a bit time consuming, and you need a good machine to vary the voltage, which I don't have.

If we had a positive ID for it , it would have been added. Right now we don't have a positive ad showing this model.
The only thing you can do is search the net for a bulova ad showing this model, or you could try contacting Bulova themselves and provide them with some pictures and serial info, but I wouldn't hold by breath because it might be too old for their records.
Sometimes a positive ID will take months or years...or it may never happen, but we are always on the look-out for new information.
