I inherited this Bulova Accutron Astronaut from my grandfather. I believe this Bulova watch is from 1968 given the date codes provided on this website but would love to get some more info. I do not want to open it as I am not a watch expert but I provided clear photos of the front and back of the watch and the info I was able to see. Thanks in advance
Welcome to myBulova, this is a wonderful keepsake from your grandfather. This watch is instantly recognizable as an Accutron Astronaut. Bulova made this model in several variants of stainless and gold using several different bezel styles including steel, gold, black and white and your model in all black. This is called a GMT watch that allows the wear to keep track of time in two different time zones. the arrow pointed hand show the hour in the second zone. The slotted cover on the back accesses the battery compartment, the half round on the other cover lifts to allow time setting. The bracelet is most likely original and often referred to as the 'bullet' bracelet.
We do not have a catalog that shows this model but we do have one advert HERE. As you can se it's in French which leads me to believe this is likely a Swiss made Accutron.
Not being able to identify the particular variant (I think it reads 21 207?) I would suggest that we label it as an Accutron Astronaut perhaps adding the 21 207 identifier as well.
Thanks for sharing it!

I agree, Geoff. Based on the s/n starting with "1 - ", this is very likely a Swiss produced model. It's entirely possible than "21 207" is the model number. Te scant reference material we have for European Bulovas often listed a number with spaces in it instead of a name.
