1967 Stainless Butterfly Case Accutron 2181
In reply to Hello tmaca, welcome to by Geoff Baker
Uh, yup. It's a '67 Acccutron 2181, actually. The reason you probably don't find it someplace is that the Butterfly case is extremely rare. There's a more common, similar case that's sometimes confused with the Butterfly. It's almost the same, but you don't have the obvious overlap by the lugs that the Butterfly has. I put 218 in for movement, but model shows up as unknown, I guess someone has to approve it or something. Or maybe I'm missing the right place to put in Accutron.

I believe 2181 is the reference for the movement. We use Bulova published materials to discern model numbers for all Bulova and Bulova Accutrons, so far we haven't determined the model designation for this style watch from anything we have on site. I'm not sure where the butterfly term you use is coming from, I haven't seen it before. The root record you've created displays 2181 in the movement field, once the panel members have completed a discussion on your watch the model NAME will be added to the record where you see "Unknown".
