This is the iconic Bulova Accutron Model '602' dated (M1)1961. Model 602 is 18kt Solid Gold and came in Case# 2324 as (Style # 26003). This Model 602 sports the original applied marker dial and gold hands. As far as I know (to date), this dial is unique to this particular model accutron which makes it very hard to find a nice Model 602 worth restoring. This 1961 18kt Model 602 has been fully restored. Rob Berkavicius did a wonderful job fully restoring the M1 movement to exact M1 factory specs and appearance. It has the M1 date code stamped on the pillar plate(Top Center/Right) and doesn't have the patent number at the bottom of the plate which is correct for pillar plates of 1962 or before. It also has the original 5 solder point coil assy as seen in the front pic of the movement as well as the correct tuning fork. I had searched for this model quite awhile and finally found one that was worthy of a full restoation. I am very happy with this early 1960's Accutron restoration.
Another great watch! The movement is near M1 factory appearance with only a few very minor inconsistencies that almost no one would ever notice...
I would say many of his Astronaut watches in his collection could be a crown jewel, Or His stellar M2 yellow dot spaceview that was passed down from his grandfather who bought it new in 1962! Now that's a jewel!
