Bulova L7 year model, 10k Rolled Gold plating. The watch strap is original, however, I have not been able to find a match on the Advert database. Closest picture matches are either an " American Girl " model or a "Dolly Madison" model. This watch was my grandmother's, who passed it on to my mother, who passed it on to me. The watch needs the crystal replaced, and the winding mechanism repaired. I have not opened the case (afraid of damaging it), but would like to identify it, in order to send for restoration.
Thank you, Paul
I don't recognize that it's an American Girl, bangle bracelet or not, but I'll recheck the ads.
One of the defining charactoristisc of this later American Girl series is the bangle bracelet. There was one American Girl ad from the late 1920's or 1930's which shows Am Girl on something other than a bangle. However all the later models for which we have ads (and examples in the database- except one) show the bangle bracelet.
Since that one 1958 exception is ID'ed as American Girl without on a bangle bracelet, I would like to be consistent. IMO this is one of those model series where the bangle bracelet makes the generic American Girl ID valid, and then case style/bracelet style allow possible ID'ing to the variant of American Girl.
I have to review in light of this before voting.
