From what I have gathered, this is a 1955 Ardsley... though I am not 100% sure of the model or style. I have not opened it to verify any jewels, movement or other details as I am new to this and refrain from possibly damaging the mechanics. I am looking for input as to the value of this piece for inssurance reasons.
Thanks for adding your watch, but as the site rules and the 'add your watch' page clearly state we do not give evaluations for vintage watches as there simply too many variables to consider.

AND.... the Ardsley it is, right down to the original band. Very nice!

Thank you, it was passed down to me by my Grandmother after my Grandfather passed. I know that the site organization is unable to paticipate in "pricing" items, I was just looking for some "good guess-timates" on a base value. My local jeweler is reluctant to pin-down a figure.
