Just returned from being serviced, 14k 1951 with a 21 jewel 8AC movement. The pictures do not do it justice, the watch looks almost brand new. The dial has not been refurbished only cleaned all original.
Thank you for posting your watch. I believe this to be a 1951 Bulova Whittier. This is a first for this model and a new name for the model pull down list.

This is great to know, I wish my pictures did it justice. I have modern Rolex,Zenith, Breitling and Omega. However this little watch more than holds its own,to my eye the dial is incredible in the way that it catches the light.
Excellent ad match, Jim! This one is a first see for me as well. Nice watch!

Thanks, Would this have been one of the more expensive Bulova's? I can not believe how well its aged, the dial must be very good quality. I've had the watch in my collection for over 10 years, only recently have I managed to find a watch a horologist who would service it in the UK. He kindly sent me a picture of the movement.

Apologies for the typo using my phone. "Find a Horologist".
I just noticed that this has a 19MM lug width. This is a bigger one for the period especially for a gold watch. Nice.
