I believe this is a 1950 Bulova Baxter - given to me recently by my father who would have been 4 in 1950 - he said it belonged to his father(b. 1905 d. 1969). It came with a very old and torn but genuine lizard strap. I plan to replace with similar (but currently have a new lizard grain genuine leather band attached). Opening the back with a fingernail, the movement and dial stay attached to the back so I can't really examine the movement's details but would assume them to be the same as Jim's watch described here: https://mybulova.com/comment/96250 - the serial number on my example is 163 less than Jim's - 2879488 (vs. Jim's 2879651). The case back is marked:
